You can play every puzzle on this site without an account and without telling us who you are. This page explains the little data that is involved.
Who we are
This site, play-word-search-online.com, is run by Lunar Interactive Arts Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. For anything about this policy, see our contact page.
What is stored in your browser
To make the game work, the site saves a few things in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.
- the puzzle you are playing on each level, so you can close the page and carry on later
- your chosen level, board theme and music track, and which word lists you played recently
- your own records: best times, puzzles solved, words found and the days you solved the Daily puzzle
While music is playing, the point the track has reached is kept in your browser's session storage so it can carry on from the same spot on the next page. That is cleared when you close the tab. You can delete all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and whether the site works well on their devices. These services receive information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, and an approximate location based on your IP address. Cloudflare and Ahrefs Web Analytics do not use cookies. Google Analytics does, and in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it only sets them after you agree.
Advertising
The site may show adverts from Google AdSense. Google and its partners can use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy link in the consent message.

Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site against attacks.
Children
Our Word Search for Kids page is made for children to play, ideally with a parent or teacher nearby. No adverts are shown on that page, and like the rest of the site it has no accounts, no chat and no way for players to contact each other. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. Because we do not hold accounts or personal profiles, most requests are best made to Google or Cloudflare directly. We are happy to help. You can reach us through the contact page. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site uses data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
